About Us

We at United Green Golf pride ourselves on being a company that is here to not only help the environment but also help out the golfer and golfing community. We purchase our used golf balls from multiple pond rehabilitation/rejuvenation companies that are hired by golf courses to clean their water hazards of any impurities and replace them with healthy living bacteria to promote the natural Nitrogen cycle. This cycle creates a better living environment for the fish and wildlife living in and around the pond as well as the plants surrounding it. This makes for a more pleasant golf experience not seeing a rundown pond or having to deal with the smells that can ruin a nice day on the course.

Once we receive our used golf balls they are placed in a soaking solution that is 100% biodegradable. The solution has a bio-enzyme that actually "eats" all the pond growth that has accumulated on the balls. Once the bio-enzyme has used up its food source it dies and is safe to dispose of. After the pond growth cleaning cycle, the balls are moved to another soaking solution that assists in the removal of sand and mud. This solution is also 100% biodegradable and does no harm to the outside covering of the golf ball. After the sand and mud removal soaking, each ball is rinsed by hand and lightly scrubbed to remove and stubborn mud that may not have come off. The balls are then sorted by type and graded according to how much life is left on the ball and then sold at a tremendous discount to you.

We strongly believe in trying to help out the Earth in anyway we can. And while golf courses may not always be thought of as the first place for making the environment a better place, we are trying our part to change that thinking.
